CD drive problems

my laptop does the weirdest things. once i boot my computer, the CD drive works fine. but as time goes on it stops working. the computer doesnt seem to detect it. im trying to install a game via a disc but i cant because it takes a long time and the CD drive stops working every 30 minutes

do you have the most up to date driver for the cd drive?

does your computer get pretty hot? could be a heat issue also.
