CD drives not reading disks

My computer doesnt read any of the disks i put into the CD drive. When i insert the disk i get the reading icon and i can hear it spin but after a while i just get a message telling my to insert a disk into the drive. I also tried another drive i had as well as other disks but still had the same problem (the disks run fine in my other computer).

Does anyone know what may be causing this or how i can fix it? Thanks.

Most likely the drives are bad. You can try taking a can of compressed air and blow lightly inside the drive to blow out any loose dirt. First thing however, check device manager to make sure the driver shows that its installed properly.
