CD/DVD problem

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I have had no problems using my CD/DVD roms until now. On Media Player (10) it says no CD or DVD burner has been detected. The drives have disappeared from My Computer, and when I check Device Manager, there are yellow exclamation marks beside the two.

My computer is a advent 3118 3.06GHz, 16x DVD and 52x CD-RW if that helps.

I would think you would need to install the newest driver for your burner.. (if available)What is the brand and model number? It should say on the front... With that we will give you a link to the website where the link is, and you install the new driver. Should be it.

It says GeForce FX5200 128mb.

On the device manager the DVD is DVD-ROM DVD 16X6S driver version 5.1.2535.0

The CD is LITE-ON LTR52327S driver version 5.1.2535.0

Thanks Trizoy

The burner was already on when I bought the computer. I don't think I installed anything before it stopped working though. My brother installed a game..Championship Manager but we already had a previous version.

I haven't seen any cd instalations disks for the burner either, so I can't really uninstall it...

Yellow exclamation marks next to a device means there is usually some kind of conflict.
Start windows in safe-mode, (F8 at start-up), to see if resolves the problem.
