hi all im new her i bought a acer laptop its a extensa 5513awlmi about a month ago and everything as been going great with it had however i went to record this weeks mp3 disc for the car and when i insert a cdrw it wont detect it so i thought ill try another disc same again so i put in a blank dvd and i can record onto it and everything it picks it up like i said its a brand new laptophas anyone else had this or does anyone know how i can sort it out

my cdrom is a pioneer dvd muli recorder
 
A good portion of the site are Americans, and today is a holiday for us, to spend some time with family and friends, so if you are upset that no one is helping you, then, Bye Bye!

But then again, you were the one stupid enough to buy an Acer laptop, so go figure. :)
 
You need to reformat and re-install windows.

And don't be so dang impatient!

Or you could remove the drive from the device manager and re-install the drivers.

Or take it back to where you got it! It's only a Month OLD!

Or mail it to me, and I'll fix it, and send it right back. :eek:

Next time wait more than 3 hours before throwing a hissy fit.
