The drive was installed and setup to run properly. The operating system in question is Win98 and the software used is Roxio EZ CDCreator 5.?

Please help me figure out why the drive will burn the 2 tracks to the CD but whenever I put the new CD into any CDPlayer the track plays and you can switch between the two tracks but no sound whatsoever comes out of the speakers ever.

I've used the drive in the past and i recently installed it into a computer only to have this issue occur.

Do you have the CD Audio cable connected?

not at first no, but then I did install the cable.

There are two drives, only one spot on the motherboard that accepts the cable. I unplugged CD Audio cable of the existing drive (but left the motherboard connection intact) and plugged the CDA cable into the new CD burning drive. Another CD was then burnt using the exact same two tracks. Still no audio.

Hope that made sense. Someone has suggested that maybe I should be using those "for music only" disk. I don't know bout them cause i been using the same cdrs for years w/ no probs. :D thanks
