CDROMs can't detect in bios please help

hello

I just notice today that my DVD Rom and my DVD-RW doesn't detect in bios. But when I go to my device manager I see both of them there. Before I installed XP I could see it in my bios. I would like to ask if anyone know what is wrong with my drive. Right now I can't format and install a new XP just cause the 2 cdroms are not detected. Please help if you know the answer to this. Thank you in advance for reading my post and giving me a response. Thanks

Haven't you messed up with the jumpers?? Check the jumpers man and make sure that they are correct.

If your bios can't see the CD-ROMs you have, try something else, plug only 1 drive to the PC and disconnect the other one, and see if the Bios will see it or not, try installing both drives on different cables, IDE cables I mean, 1 in primary and the other over the secondary.

When you are trying connecting a single drive and disconnecting the other, you can boot using the CD if you want to re-install windows, if it proves that the problem is a windows problem although I doubt it.

are you sure there not deteced, can you boot from cd. Insert you windows cd and see if you can boot from it. You may need to change your boot order as narafa said

I tried plugging one in at a time and also used another CD rom too but it still doesn't work. I guess maybe it's the windows conflicting everything but I never had this problem before. When I get on desktop I see both drive but it doesn't work when I put a CD in there. It say " Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows". I formatted my hard drive to NTFS so I was wondering would that be the problem that my drive doesn't support that? I doubt that would be the problem. I also thought about flashing my bios but I am worried that if I do it will disable my whole computer. What should I do?
