celeron or amd

In a tight spot. I'm building a new PC but cant decide on a processor. I've got it down to either a Celeron 3.0ghz or an AMD Sempron 3200. There both around the same price so thats not the issue. My problem is that I know Celerons have a slower bus than AMD's so it isnt as good for games, But I figure wuth a 3.0ghz processor It wont really matter how slow the bus speed is. Also I'm not sure how fast a Sempron 3200 is. Can some one give me a hand? Cheers

Dont' look at GHz, they are merely a #, and aren't as big a factor as Intel make them out to be.

Read this - http://www.behardware.com/articles/510-1/amd-sempron-vs-intel-celeron-d.html

The decision is yours. Personally I am an AMD fan, and my mom happens to have a 3GHz Celeron D so I've used one. But I think I'd still go with the Sempron, maybe a 3400+ though.

when comaring intel to amd yea hes right, the processors ghz doesnt make a difference. go with sempron 64 bit version.. or even athlon 64 :)

you can get a nice 939 pin athlon 64 3200+ with 1ghz fsb and 2ghz operating frequency for $150 on newegg.com!
