Celeron Processor

Hi,

I'm working with a Pentium III Via Apollo Pro133+ motherboard (VT82C596B).
I replaced my 600Mhz processor by a 1.3 Celeron processor(model SL5ZJ 1300/256/10.1.5V).
When I start up, the machine doesn't boot up.
what am i doing wrong ? any suggestions ?

Does your motherboard support that processor?

Try resetting the BIOS.

I did a reset on the Cmos, still won't work. It still hangs.
Cpu is normally supported.

Who is your motherboard vendor? Try to download and flash latest BIOS for your models. It could be helpful. But I'm not sure that your system suppot this CPU. Celeron 1,3 Ghz runs good on i815e/ep motherboards.
