Cellphone Broadcast Frequency - 800 mhz, clarifying

It is my understanding that 800 MHz is best for penetrating buildings, including foundations. Though this is based on a carrier tech from some time back.

What about 700 MHz which is what I understand Verizon broadcasts.
Would this be better or worse than 800 MHz, assuming that is the number across the board to hit.

The goal being optimal frequency for maintaining clear calls and not have conversations drop.

Lower frequencies generally travel farther distances and through objects better.

You'd be more concerned with cell tower placement and coverage areas at this point than worrying which specific frequency is utilized between a pair of them that are pretty close together within the spectrum, though.

I am most concerned about frequency, since I spend much of the time hunkered inside the poured foundation on the deep side of a basement slope.
Checking, this area is already well 'covered' on the carriers map for Verizon.

My current carrier sends at 1900 mhz. Dropped calls left and right. And cell towers, that I hear, have been sold off to a third party to be maintained.
