CF Clan.

Yeh, most people who posted their names (like me) were/are joking, and that also means we have interest in it, I mean we wouldn't of even clicked on the thread if we didn't have any interest in it.

(In Bold), Ok that's one person, anymore?

(in bold reply) well i was on about you still, but i know that quite few people have put stuff in in their own way, be it with physical results or just joining in games, setting up games etc.

Right i'm sorry for the post i put,i had the a--e at the time so please accept my apologies.

accepted, i know that in all of this i have had ups and downs and got mighty annoyed at the whole things at times, wished i hadn't started the damn thing at times

Instead of clan, how about gang? That would be awesome. eg:
"So what type of clan are you?"
"First of all, we are not a clan, we are a gang...."

Like the CF gamer gang or something?

Is there anyway to be associated without actually be associated with CF?
Like the official un-official group or something?
Because, yes we can put game times and such on here, but then other threads get bumped or created and then we can't find out when and such. So that is why we want a area where it is dedicated to creating games with each other and/or on a team with each other playing against others and such.

Like when I tried out Hamachi, just so we can all play with each other without finding or booking a empty server and you can make announcements and all that, yes you can do that on steam, but not everyone has the ability to make announcements on steam, only admins (group admins).

I mean, we can just go and make a clan under a different name, with only CF members, but just think of it as promotion of this site if we have CF in our name?

I'm working on a solution to make everyone happy. Just hang tight for a couple days.

What would be helpful is if yo uguys could make an organized list of what you want to get out of this.

So far I'm thinking,

Place to organize games
Place to post server IPs
Place to find steam and xfire friends

Yeh, basically that. And like what games to play when, who is setting up and such.

What is that link meant to be?
I don't get anything.

a place to talk about specific clan topics, so squad ideas, announcements etc aswell.

The new name thing i think is actually better though because if we start getting people from outside of CF, who wants to join the computer forum clan when the name is all you have to go on. The name computerforum is great for the CF site because it IS a computer forum, but computer forum isn't really a clan name, if you get me

Can you not make it similar to techzine, by which i mean it isn't computerforum but sort of an off shoot from it. You said that the issue is that you can't admin it and don't want a bad image of this site, people moaning, it isn't CF, it takes away traffic, can you not make this site and the cflcan site one in the same only different areas of the same organisation? Then traffic would stay here, it would still be computerforum (only under a different name most probably) and would have all of the stuff we need aswell as having admin there; that won't take time from the current CF admins

just a thought

I know its not exactly what some of you were looking for but we tried to find a happy medium. This will allow everyone to organize games etc. but remain onsite and easily manageable by the mod team.

While the idea of a techzine-esque site is cool, it would be time consuming and difficult to manage and in all honesty, techzine still hasn't gained the popularity we're hoping/expecting it to.

I'm open to your input on what we can do to mold the social groups more to fit your needs.

I'm not sure what situation is with "CF Servers" (been busy lately) but if there's servers you all play in frequently, PM me and I'll see if they should be added to the sticky.
