Why is it that CF looks diffrent in Windows & linux on the same Web browser?

Im talking about the font sizes & text sizes in linux are smaller, its irritating me lol.

Any other website i go on looks the same on both Os,s,however not CF and im not sure why :D

ive looked around in firefox settings in Ubuntu but nothing makes it look like it does in firefox on windows, ive tried adjusting font settings, sizes etc but it never changes....im baffled.

it looks like a pretty fresh install. So do you have some of the plugins installed for firefox? That might make a difference but I wouldn't bet on it. You might be able to mess with the fonts but I couldn't get anything to change. Computer Fourm looks the same to me in windows 7 and Ubuntu.

nope as far as im aware, the only plug in i have installed is Flash..im having another problem with FF in Ubuntu aswell..basically if i go on a Website that has scroll down menus at the top such as Ebuyer, when i click on it i cant move the cursor down as the box goes away before i can select anything!

The layout of the site seems all messed up too,Its definatly a problem in FF but cant figure it out.

i cant believe it,everything works in linux so far exapt this Firefox playing up....don't really like any other browsers

google chrome? love that browser...

Couple of different issues. First is font sets. Windows uses a fair few proprietary ones which Linux doesn't have by default 99% of the time.

The second is Firefox is fantastically OS-dependant. I know a guy who had to spend ages to get a website looking right on OSX even though it appeared fine on Windows!

It still makes me wonder why his is not the same while Firefox and Chrome look the same for me in both Windows and Linux without heavy editing.
