Change RAM Frequency

Hello, I have now for a long time had memory issues. I've gotten all the kind of errors from blue screens (mostly: "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" and "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"), game crashes and when installing the windows 7/8 os gives me error codes leading to memory issues.

I have googled a lot and have been directed to use all kind of memory tests (especially the built in windows 7 thingy) and I've gotten no errors at all. Then I found this post on google saying that it could be that the ram frequency being high so I checked it to be about 1600 and the tech spec on the computer says 1333 so I suppose that could be the problem.

The final problem that sent me to this forum is that I have no clue how to lower it. I have checked the bios setting where all guides says it should be but I cannot find it.

Did it come with 16GB of RAM or did you upgrade it? Open up the RAM opening on the bottom and look at the specifications. You might've added the wrong kind of RAM if you did upgrade.
 
Nope, I've done nothing to the computer:

Ok, just to make sure, you did a memtest like this:

Is there anything labeled XMP in the BIOS?

For the BIOS, I cannot help you much since I have no experience with that particular BIOS. I would try to contact MSI or an MSI forum and explain your problem since they have experience with that specific BIOS.
 
Yes, I have done all kinds of memory tests and have gotten no errors.
I have posted almost the exact thread on the msi forums but I have gotten no answer so I went here :/
 
All I could find in the bios memory related was like:

Memory:
Slot 1: Not present.
Slot2: 4097 (or similar) DDR3
Slot3: Not present.
Slot4: 4097 DDR3.

And nothing related to XMP as far as I'm concerned :(.
 
This is a laptop which I doubt will have memory voltage and timings adjustments, thats why the default speed is 1333mhz. It definately sounds like memory issues. Even though memtest and other programs say there are no memory issues there still could be. Is it possible you can try some other brand memory?
 
I dont have any spare memories and I would rather not open up the computer if I would have to send it in for repair.. But I would really like to avoid that..

However, I did download speccy which shows that the ram frequency is higher than 1333hz D:
 
Its not really opening the computer, there's a slot at the bottom which provides easy access to your RAM.

What frequency is Speccy telling you?
 
Oh, sorry, this kind of new to me.

However speccy says:
8,00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)

Someone guided and said you add up the frequency some way and it got to 1600 something. I might be totaly wrong but I hope it helps.
 
Speccy is telling you that you're at 1330, which is close enough to 1333mhz. You just double it, since its DDR. (Double data rate) Doesn't sound like the issue is with your RAM frequency.

Have you tried opening the RAM slot under your computer? BIOS says you have 4 slots, two with no RAM in them. May be worth a shot to change the RAM to the other slots.
 
I found the memories inside of the computer but I have no clue what I'm doing D:

What could be the error if we assume that it wouldnt do any difference by switching the places of them?
