Changing a Monitor to Primary

So, I picked up a Flatscreen LCD, And now in WoW, it wont let me change the resolution. Turns out it only will work if the monitor is considered the "Primary" monitor. So, in the Display Properties, I have it selected as the Primary, but it is marked by the number 2, and the number one monitor is greyed out. How can I change it so its the only one, and get rid of the other one?

Do you have dual monitors? Just curious becuase that should be #1 if you dont

No, I dont, but in order to get the monitor to work, I had to first connect it using VGA, Then set it up in the options, then switch to DVI

The monitor has two cables and the videocard supports both VGA and DVI, so I simply switched the connection type on the monitor.

hmm it should still be #1 either way i'm looking at one right now thats the same kind of monitor it should be number 1 thats wierd on the drop down there on that screen shot what does it list?

Try switching it to #1 thats what it should be set to and then set that as the default monitor.

There is no #1, If i set it to that, my screen becomes blank.

if you set it to blank and change the display on the monitor it stays blank? Sounds like something isnt correctly set up. It should run on the radeon card not the basic thing thats there hmm wierd.

I got it, i disabled the second one in the device manager
