Changing Icons?

Is there a way to change the icons on "My Computer" and "Recycle Bin?" I know you can download programs like IconPackager and stuff, but those cost money, and I would prefer if it were free. :rolleyes:
I'm using the Alienware darkstar theme, and I know that comes with customization stuff, but I can't find icon programs anywhere. Thanks for your help.
 
Well...I have windows XP and what I do is right click on the icon to be changed, scroll down to properties, click on the customize tab, and at the bottom you will see a "Change Icon" button. You may or may not be aware of this, but there are some options there to choose from without a seperate program.

That will do regular icons, but with my computer and recycler bin customize tab isn't there, I have done this before but im not sure how, I do not remember, I'm going to try and figure it out and when i do, I will either post again or edit this one.


EDIT: I figureed it out, I amnow reediting this post to add it.

Ahh ok never realized that. I'm interested in this now too...thanks flame
 
1. right click your desktop
2.Go to propertiys.
3.Desktop tab
4.Click on Cuztomise Desktop
5.Then click on the one you want.
6a.Go to change icon, to either one of the defualts
6b.OR Choose broze and go to a selected image.
7. click "ok'
8. your done.

Also did anyone notice how you can uncheck what icons to show on the desktop? When there are guides on the internet to edit the regitery so they dont show up, when all you have to do it uncheck =P :P

NP, I wanted to do this before, but was to lazy to figure it out for my self, lol I'm willing to go so much further for others then myself, with things like this at least, definatly not all things...
