Changing Internet IP

How can i hide my IP through a proxy so that a video game would recognize it?
I know how to hide my IP in my browser, but not with other applications.

I'm trying to get into a game that blocks foreign IPs.

Irrespective of the legality of Proxy Servers, the fact of the matter is that they have very few legitimite uses, and thus discussing them here is not permitted.
