Changing the motherboard

Extremely easy, make sure to have static wristband so nothing gets screwed up...but all you basically doin is taking off the heatsink, depending on what processor u have , should be no level of difficulty i'm sure you can look at it, and tell right away what clips has to be disconnected...and then pull out the processor, should see a small pole next to prossessor to releaseit and pull it right out with 0 insertion force, so nothing should be forced.

Yeah i know like what boards have to be disconnected and what plugs etc. Was more the actual heat sink and processor, which btw is a AMD 64 3400+.
Be my first time doing this particualr thing. Although i have changed the heatsink on a graphics card...similar?
make sure you are wearing a anti-static wristband but some thermal past (artic silver)is good know you are ready to remove heatsink,
there is the fan power connector that has to be unpluged from the mobo first
then there will be to clips on the heatsink holding the heatsink on the cpu undo the clips this can be a little fiddly when you have removed the clips remove the heatsink be carefull because sometimes the cpu will come out on the bottom of the heatsink if it doesnt then lift the retainer bar its the little metal bar on the right of the cpu socket and then lift the cpu out.
the cpu has alot of little pins on the bottom they are very easily bent so be carefull insert the cpu in the new mobo buy lifting the retension clip and placing the cpu into the socketand replacing the retention clip make sure the cpu is in the right way
wipeaway the old thermal past and apply the new past also wipe the old past of the bottom of the heatsink then place the heatsink ontop of the cpu and anchor in place with the clips all that is left to do then is to plug the fan power wirt to the mobo
