Changing the power supply

When you got your new card did everything work before changing out the power supply? In other words did you try the card before changing the power supply?
 
Out of curiosity, do you know for sure that the CPU is seated well? Did you pull the tab up, insert it, and lock it down? I've seen more than one person just shove the cpu into the socket without using the lock mechanism, which is a very good way to damage things.

If you mean the GPU.. Yes, I've used it with the old PSU, but although it worked, i felt like i wasn't getting all the "juice" from it... It was written on the box that the gpu needed at least 430 watts to run smoothly.. And I've read that even though the card would work with lower wattage PSU's,it wouldn't work at 100%... I guess i should have stayed with the 300 watt psu all along...

I'm pretty sure its all in its own place.. I wouldn't even be able to fit the cpu's fan if it wasn't in the right place..

I tried removing the BIOS chip, and after removing it the computer acts the same way (fans spinning too fast and the computer wont boot).. Which makes me think that the 500 watt psu "killed" the bios.. Now i'm wondering how i'll get a new bios chip...
 
Never mind guys, i went to get a pc check up, (for free =D) and the technician said that the motherboard died.... Now the only way is to buy a new one.. So i was wondering if there is any good motherboard similar to mine (mine is a MCP61HM-PH (Nettle3) ).. maybe with an extra slot for a GPU or so...

You can't get anything off Newegg because they don't ship outside of US.

The other board that you posted only has 2 DDR2 slots, the other 2 are DDR3 slots for if you use an AM3 CPU in there
 
I won't be asking them to ship a motherboard here.. Ill just go to a regular computer store and ask if they could order the motherboard..

From those two ASUS up there.. Which one is the best?

Second one, M3N78-VM, for full DDR2 support, rather than having just 2 memory slots, it is a better choice for future upgrading

I've been looking for some motherboards since mine has died.. But i keep running into problems:

8 pin cable (not available on my psu)
bigger format (mine is 9.6" x 9.6")
doesn't support AMD Athlon 64 x2 4400+ cpu..

So.. could someone find me one or two motherboards that are compatible with my last one.. Would be very grateful!!

The details again:

DDR2 Ram Memory
4 pin + 24 pin connection
9.6" x 9.6" size
AMD Athlon 64 x2 4400+ CPU

CrossifireX or OC isn't important.. But if available it's even better..

Budget is around 70€ which is around 75/80$..

You have an ATX case, so the others will work, an ATX case will be able to take mATX or ATX motherboard

Your welcome! I just recently needed similar help so I know how frustrating it can be, I learned quite a bit about compatibility though which is cool.
notice that I removed the shop link to the second board and left just the Asus link, for some reason they weren’t the same although I checked last night! maybe I was tiered, anyway, your going through a local store so I don't see why it wouldn't be available..
