Changing Video Card

how would I figure out the type of slot for my motherboard (if possible, without opening my hard drive)

also my current video card is:

Intel 946GZ Express Chipset Family
Intel GMA 3000

I belive it is somthing call "on board video card?"

If so, when i open my case, will there actually be a video card for me to remove or not?

There will not be a video card to remove. So all you have to do is stick the video card in the correct slot, then disable your onboard video in your bios.

When you say opening your hard drive, I assume you mean your case. No, there's no way to upgrade your video card without getting inside the computer.

Besides that, you have to find what expansions you actually have available. PCI, AGP, PCI-Express. What's the computer? Is there perhaps a list of available slots inside it?

I really cant say... It's definetly got PCI and what looks like PCI-Express. However that picture is WAY too small, and the chipset heatsink is in the way...

And don't make so many dupicate/similar posts...

Haha that would be funny if someone actualy thought they could change there video card without opening their case.

"Do I put it in the CD drive?"

HAHAHA ROFL.

Kent.
