Cheap Computer

I might go back to the Case with the PSU. I see there alot cheaper that way. Plus i dont need anything special. Back to case looking!

How many people here have used a PSU that is included with a case? Just wondering how many people had good luck with them. I really would prefer to buy a $60 case/PSU, than a $40 case, $50 PSU.

do you already have the disk? cause i'm trying to spec you a computer that will stomp all other computers mentioned

yea you are right, I added them incorrectly, but anyway my build is still better than yours

LOL. You copied my build but added 2 better parts.

Anyways Shorty I agree with his suggestions. As for the case I have built on with a PSU included for a friend and it works fine. The PSU is loud but it works.

ENERMAX CS-5271LBFS-B Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 350W Power Supply - Retail

The Enermax PSU included with the case should hold up until you get more money to upgrade the PSU, RAM and Videocard
The included PSU isn't Enermax (it's actually quite common to include PSUs of a cheaper brand in budget cases). This one's a PowerUp, which is manufactured by L&C (so frankly terrible).

This is better: Athenatech A416BS.400. The included PSU is a Topower 400W, with dual rails rated for +12V@25A. More than sufficient for the system.

EDIT: Or you can get this - same PSU, different color scheme :): A412BB.400

didn't look at the PSU in the case... just kinda figured that it would have been an Enermax... i'll edit

Good thing he didnt need a DVD drive or anything... I wouldn't know what to do except lower to a 120GB drive and maybe go with integrated video

This is my favorite suggestion. I do want a graphics card, because I do play some games, but nothing requiring anything better than the suggested card. I also found this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811147030. Will that be good with all the stuff I have. And does anyone know how big it is? It doesnt have the demensions on the page??? Thanks

O and one more thing. If you guys have any little upgrades that are cheap but make a differnce, please tell me. I can go over $500, so if you have suggestions, but you didnt tell me because of my limit, please tell me. I can really go up to like $700, but Id prefer it around $500.

And I think id prefer to get a 1GB card rather than 2x512, so I can upgrade to 2 GB's later, without having to get rid of the 512's, and spending cash on 2 more 1GB's. Unless there is room on the MOBO for 3. Ill check that. If there isnt, then suggestions on one 1GB memory?

Theres a few thing on his I dont like though.

I would prefer at least 2x 512MB, if not 1x1GB. 512 isn't enough.
I like the 250MB Hard Drive over the 160MB.

So, I guess I can add in a little cash, for those two upgrades.
