hey guys, my cpu hit 70 degrees today for some weird reason,. Every component was practically on fire and i think its because my old cpu fan has gone. (it makes a horrible noise every time my pc is started up :/)
I have only £10 for a new fan, (anything has to better than nothing though)
Is there anything i can get with that budget thats going to help my cpu. Im positive that 70c is bad for my pc (my health too probably if it decides to create a chenobyl 2)
The cpu is an e6600 and any help is greatly appreciated.
Also, could i overclock with a new cpu fan?
EDIT, i should note my actual budget is £20, but 10 is need for the thermal compound and articleaner.
Im asking this as iv never even considered it as my curent cpu fan kept load at 60c which i thought was a bit hot, but considering thats going maybe i will have some more head way.
