Is it possible to build a Desktop for under $250 bucks? What i want is: 512mb of RAM or better
128MB Video Card or better.

Pentium 4 or D or AMD 64 processor, 2.0 Mhz or better.

15" screen or better. (prefferably flat screen)

cd/dvd-rom drive.

I'll use it for internet, some games, photoshop, and other basic programs.

As far as hard drive, I won't need much storage at all, so 60-80 GB would be fine.

those configuratiosn might run you somewhere from $300-$450..but under 500 i would assume...depending on if you get the flat screen or not...cuz those alone are $100 atleast

it can be done, but not with the monitor included. you could probally go with something along the lines of an Athlon 64 3200+, an OEM motherboard, an average video card (6200, 7300?), some Patriot RAM, and a cheap case and PSU combo.

Ok, here's a better organized list of what I want.

512MB RAM
Case
128MB Video Card. Something cheap like a low end ATI Radeon.
40-80GB of storage.
2.0 Mhz Processor.
15" Monitor (flat screen not required)
CD/DVD ROM
Whatever Motherboard is cheaper yet still good.

all for $300 or less.

I already have a keyboard, mouse, speakers, and I can buy Windows XP (or Vista when it comes out) when I get the comp.

That is exactly what I posted above your reply (sans the DVD rom and CD because those are found in the trash now a days). If you wanted you could upgrade the celeron to a PD (108$) and downgrade the Gfx card to an Nvidia MX4000 (32$) but that card is the absolute low end of 128Mb cards.

HAHAHA a screen will cost like 100...processor at least 100, ram at least 30 128 mb graphics card, 100

no way hosey

for one, you can get a celeron for $52, screen for about $80, RAM about $15, 128MB GPU for about $50... and its Jose

If you look around in the garbage you can get a screen for free actually, it's where mine came from and it's top of the line.

What top of the line monitor is that? :P Pic?

It's a CTX which will hit 2048 x 1600 @ 150Hz refresh (not that I'd ever need it) and 200Hz at 1600 x 1200 (again, not that it's needed).
