You can attempt a Toshiba Satellite...but be forewarned. I have found the hinge build to be incredibly weak and eventually mine broke the snap enclosures that exposed the top left hand speaker. It was a budget, "low-end capable" laptop that ran Warcraft 3 and the latest in the Chessmaster series without too much of an issue.
I picked it up at Wally-Mart for ~$200 on sale with universal adapter and carrying case more than several years ago.
I get a used Lenovo in the past, with 4GB Ram and a Core i5.
It works very well, and got no problems. Looks like a new one and also games could be played if they don't need a new generation graphic.
