you can get a amd althon 64 3000+ for 146 or a amd althon 3200+ for 190. but otherwise that system will play games but it wont play them at high settings

What kind of games are you talking about? My system plays Halo at full, and my friend has an AMD 64 3500+ and a 6600GT and he can play Half-Life 2, FarCry, Halo, and NFSU2 on full settings.


But ya, that looks like a really nice budget gaming PC.

ahhh... ok, it is still a really nice budget gaming PC, and will be easy to upgrade in the future.

But if I were you, i would try to get a PCI-Express motherboard, and a PCI-E video card.

Quake 4 and FEAR are optimized for nvidia, so FEAR and quake4 will run very good on this computer, and quake4 has the same doom3 graphics, so i think he could play it with full settings.

Q4 has better grafics as Doom3. and the games may be optimized for nvidia cards. however.. my fx5200 didnt run BF2 on Full settings, so the nvidia optimize doesnt say much
