Cheap laptops?

Anybody know of a company/site that has cheap laptops? I was checking out Lenovo, since back around March I saw a coupon that gave 20% off, but they don't have one like that any longer.

And I don't mean cheap as in a $500 junker. I mean cheap as in best price:performance ratio.

I got a lenovo 3000 series, model c200

nice laptop. Make sure to get the most recent updates using the lenovo updater (including the BIOS update!) and it fixes all the bugs.

Nice lappy but 1gb of ram aint enough. And mine only had a coreduo not a core2duo, so no 64 bit.

Yeah..I don't know. If I get anything, it will be a monster, not a budget laptop.

Anybody know anything on the "As low as ___ per month" ads? Can I pay payments on it, or do I have to sign up for some dumbass card thing to be eligible for those offers?

Its credit

If you pass the credit check , you sign a contract. You pay a bit a month for like a year or two. However, in the end you end up paying 30%-40% more than if you had just baught it.

Ouch. That sucks dick. I was going to see if I could get it to a certain price and have my parents pay it monthly. :D

Guess that's not happening.

 Mine has been rock solid now for a year, and will continue to be. Theres nothing wrong with AMD

It was more so a joke. MOST people prefer Intel, including myself.

As the motto goes "You get what you pay for."

I've had 2 AMD's go bad, and no Intel. So, I stick with Intel.

Edit: Already knew that answer, not sure why I asked.

If anybody can find me a Core 2 Duo 2ghz or higher, 3gb RAM, and a 200+gb hard drive for under $1000, I will love you forever.

Webcam and not on board graphics would be nice, too. ;)
