Cheapest Laptop

I'm looking for the cheapest laptop I can find, I wanted to start really cheap and upgrade as more funding becomes available. I am not looking for quality just price for now. Any Suggestions?

If you buy cheap, you totally won't be able to upgrade it to a "game worthy": laptop. The cheapest ones come in the cheapest sockets, and you can't stick a "good" CPU in an old/cheap socket. You'll have to spend ~$750 I think for a somewhat upgradabl laptop. Dell's base line Inspiron's are OK.
 
I'm selling my Avertec for 700 if your intersted ;) It's on the for sale board, specs below :) Still a great laptop, just wanting a tablet :P
 
those 100 dollar ones for the third world country might be alright...
but seriously you will find it very hard to upgrade the laptop especially if u want to play games. you will not be able to upgrade the graphics very easly if at all
 
I think by upgrade SAAER45 meant to buy a new laptop later, not change parts.
As for a cheap laptop, my suggestion is to visit ebay and buy some P3 1Ghz for around $200. that should be a good 1st laptop.

you should have got up really early and hit up all the big stores the day after thanksgiving. then again, that would involve fighting tons of other ppl for those computers.
