It's your call Shane, for £150 though, I don't think you can go wrong! ;)

Posted up pics of the case :)

hey dan,

that case does look spacius mate thanks for posting.

im hungry for power!!! i want a beasty system :D

i know i could go dual core and still have a pretty powerfull rig, i mean look at yours dan its realy good and the GFX on it are great from your screnshots but look at this.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6400+ Socket AM2 Black Edition 3.20GHz Retail Boxed.

http://www.ebuyer.com/store/Components/cat/Processors-AMD
£126.69 inc VAT

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 GO
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131823
£158.75

Now those two above, that 6400+ does look tempting but what keeps going through my head is...for another £30 or something i could have Quad core.

the 6400+ only has 2mb of cache where the q6600 has like 8Mb lol

You're welcome Shane! I'd go with the Quad Core, for the little bit more money!

I've got a 7950GT up for sale if you want? ;)

yeah thats what il probably end up doing.

would the 6400+ outperform the q6600 or not?
probably not but i dunno:rolleyes:

honestly mate if that card your selling was DX10 i would snatch it out your hands ;)

Erm, it is DX10... Honest ;)

A DX10 7950? I never knew they made one. Are you sure? Or are you pulling someones leg.

And I just did a quick search, no listing for a DX10 7950 that I can see.

EDIT: Oh wait, I see the ;) icon now, you were kidding.

Temporary? Then why not just buy an cheaper card/onboard?

It's like $30 bucks, isn't that cheap enough? And it's not like you can go *poof* onboard, most ATX motherboards don't even have onboard videos. Only the microatx ones have them.

you should research before posting that? And technically, you didn't make sense

"Most ATX motherboards don't even have onboard videos"

"Only the mATX ones have them"

*Ahem*

It may be rare, but that doesn't mean that it's not possible ;)

And why can't he switch to mATX? They have 6100 Nvidia onboard, close enough to that GFX isn't it? I just saw an onboard Nvidia 7025..

So I said most ATX motherboards don't have them, I still stand correct...

And how do I not make sense? ATX and microATX are two form factors. My point was that $30 is not a lot of money to spend on a graphics card, and it's probably more of a hassle to specifically look for a board that has onboard video and meets all your needs. And i was assuming that he didn't want a matx board because they offer less expansion opportunities in the future. .

True. :D Sorry if I was kinda rude

Probably cause smaller boards = Limited Space

Bigger ATX boards = Lots of space

Sorry

It's ok, I just worded my original response poorly. I'm guessing it's because most office computers that don't use graphics cards also uses small boards. So many cheap matx boards includes onboard video so the user has the option of not buying a graphics card.
