Check boxes in Vista Ultimate

Since upgrading to Vista Ultimate I have found that form check boxes have changed to a small blue dot. The problem with this is that it is difficult to tell if I have checked one or the other, in the case of Yes / No boxes or multiple choice.

Even the post icons below have small circles next to them that are difficult to tell if they are selected or not.

Anyone know what causes this or if this can be changed?

Yea it's barely visible.Try to put the Windows classic theme and see how it's showed then...

Windows Classic- That did it. Not usre what I am giving up with the new look, but at lease I got my chekc boxes back.
