check it out

Why buy crappy stuff only to throw it away in a few months? Get:

PSU:

Much better for only 20$ more.

And for the GPU, get an Evga, so you can use the step up program to upgrade without having to pay the full cost.

And if you get a much cheaper case, you could get a better processor/mobo. That case is way overkill.

OS:

Cheaper, and it's vista.

Also, for whatever reason, this CPU fan is much more popular:

If you are buying a retail HDD (and you are) then the cables should come with it.

That PSU is total crap, spend more! Remember, if your PSU goes out, it can take your whole system with it.

I will personally wait 2 months such that there are new CPU and your birthday present arrived and every ties up.

However, if you really want to build it now, here is some suggested changes:
CPU: E4500 at same price
RAM:Crucial Ballistix 2 x 1GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Timing 4-4-4-12, faster than the one you choose
HDD, choose the OEM one. Your MB will includes cables.
PSU: I will not risk my hardwares and my horse for a crappy PSU.
The suggested PSU from Pyrox920 is quite good.
GPU: as paratwa, get EVGA and use their step-up program, or ask your parent(?) if you can get you birthday present earlier...

oh and if you look on newegg, the e4500 is actually the exact same price so go ahead and put that in instead of the e4400 E4500

or ask your parent(?) if you can get you birthday present earlier...

To run 4 gigs of ram you need a 64bit OS, which you can get in the form of XP 64.

Some people love Vista, I am not one of them. Games run slower, hardware problems, and many other problems still plague Vista, but the 64 bit version has even more problems.

For an all around good fast system, you should run XP. And between the 64 bit and 32 bit, I prefer the 32 bit. But that's just me.

well i would go with XP no matter what just didnt think about the 64bit, but i just checked return policy and.. im stuck with it heh:)
