I'm not too sure what kind of video card may be appropriate with this, does anyone have any good suggestions??

Any high end video card would be good, knowing the other components won't be bottlenecks. I guess it depends what you have the money for, and what kind of connections your power supply has. How many amps on the 12V rail?

whats with the +32.99 for? but anyway, if you have 500 dollars, wait about a month until newegg stops price gouging when the ati radeon 4870x2 comes out, but you would most likely have to upgrade your psu to say the 620hx unit if you want to stay corsair

Well since you have an Intel mobo, I would definitely get an NVIDIA card. That way once video card prices drop, you can just add another card and SLI to keep your system up to date. Then again this also requires a much bigger power supply. I don't know maybe NVIDIA prices will fall once ATi releases 4870x2. You could get a 9800GX2 and quad SLI?

Quad SLI isn't worth it. It's not always the more the better, most benchmarks show that frame rates drop when quad SLI is introduced, bucuase of the stress put on the mobo, and especially the CPU. If you want quad SLI you better have a damn good processor or else you will be wasting a lot of money. I would just stick with SLI if anything.

Hey guys,
To tell you the truth i'm pretty noob about this..I am building this computer for my own personal recording studio with a protools setup..does anyone know if the MF mobo is expandable to 2 processors later down the road? I've also heard people complain about problems with nvidia VC's..what is my other option? If i don't get the MF mobo i'm getting an intel Q6600 with a P5k deluxe...

Again the only problemwith the 4870 is you won't be able to SLi later on. The 4870 is a better and cheaper card, but to Crossfire you would need an AMD mobo.

kookoo...where did you learn/read this, the only thing crossfire wont work with is nvidia, there are hacked drivers somewhere to do it, but i believe they void your warrenty(on nvida chipsets) you can crossfire on an intel chipset
