It's actually very low end. You will not be able to play barely any modern game with it.

And please, don't create a bunch of threads. Stick to one, and reply.
 
It will play games fine, just make sure you have the fastest RAM you can install in there.

Personally, I don't call 35 FPS and below at a low resolution at low/medium settings "fine". He was looking at a 800 pond computer, unless his budget has changed 500 pounds since then, I'm sure OP can spend a bit more and get something decent.
 
Well granted for £330 it's not too bad at all but I wouldn't buy it.

My friend was looking at getting one of Novatech's i5 motherboard bundles (this one: http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/motherboardbundles/mbb-44608.html) which would be good if you don't want to overclock and want a quad-core system on a budget.

He was also looking at a 1TB Seagate SSHD instead of the 2TB HDD (since the SSHD will cache files so it will run frequently used programs and boot Windows a little faster): http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/...internal/satahybridssddrives/st1000dx001.html

This build is much better for less than £200 more. It has a proper discrete graphics card which is what you want for games. 16GB of RAM is overkill for simply playing games.

Ok, thanks for the advice, but if I want it to be around £800, I will have to wait another 5 Months, and my laptop atm can barely run TF2 on low res. If anyone can find me a suitable desktop for sub-£400 I will be very grateful
 
Well what I'd advise you do is not waste £400 on a desktop now and then spend £800 later - I'd advise you save and spend as much as you can so you get the best thing you can afford when you sufficient funds. :good:

It's a weak system for gaming. Not worth £400 if you want to play games. It also uses an old CPU that was pretty poor when it came out...

I would honestly advise you to save your money and wait until you can buy that £800 build - I can't tell you how much better that's going to be than a cheap build like this.

IMO, if you are in really tight budget, get at least Athlon II 760K + R7 260X. This will end up around £450 with OS included if you build it yourself.

If you after something good value, I suggest you looking at ~ £550, which include FX6300 + R9 270X like this.
