I think I will try an i7 build for him;) Thanks for the answer. Also the shipping is a little different for me. I live in Germany but have an American shipping address. For Newegg shipping I have to select APO/FPO and type in 09226 for the zip code. The shipping is much more than a normal American address.

I dont know if you really need the modular PSU, but I would suggest looking into the Corsair 750TX which is 115 before MIR, of course the Corsair 650TX would also be plenty for your build and at 95$ before 20$ MIR, its quite a nice deal.

Good point...I might look at alternatives for a PSU to lower prices a little:) But man...a Silverstone 700w modular PSU for $130 before mail in rebate and only $105 after rebate...that's a deal if you ask me:D

Cpu cooler, Zalman 9700 sucks for quads:

Monitor, 1920x1080 vs 1680x1050:

Honestly, spend the extra $5 on a G5 mouse... its worth it:

If you do end up going quad over i7, go for this mobo since your going with nvidia gpu:

Might be worth it to get the Q9400:

Also... have you thought about amd?, as AM2 will be futher supported since its backward compatible, unlike socket 775 which is pretty much EOL as far as new cpu releases.

lmao, would someone get a new avi?

and i agree, do not pour money into a 775... either get an i7 or a phenom II 920.

Hey, ive had this avatar for like a year;) Scout, change urs:P Also, you either need to go with an AM3 cpu like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103675

Or go with an AM2+ mobo and ddr2 memory, as the am2+ cpu's dont work in am3 mobo, but an am3 cpu will work in an am2+ mobo.

Also, for power supply go with a 750TX, its a better psu than the silverstone, and modular isnt that big of a deal. The 750TX has 60A on the 12v rails while the silverstone only has 50A.

if you get the antec 900 you will want a modular. i dont have one and its a freakin pain. not quite sure about shipping there but you might want to look at some items that have free shipping and see if they still honor that since it could save you a big chunk of money.

Free shipping dont work for APO/FPO,

lol i have to agree here... i got so tired of squeezing everything behind the mobo tray and bending the side that i cut a hole in the side and raised it out about 4". now its all good :)
