Checking one last thing before buying

That power supply should be more than enough. The 7600GT is not a very power hungry card, so even a 300W generic power supply should be enough.

You are wrong i had a generic 400 watt power supply and the card could not run with it, then i bought a 500 watt power supply from PC world with something like 32 Amps on the 12 v rails and this couldnt even handle it

He's not wrong. A 7600gt system requires a 300w PSU with 18 amperes on the +12volt line. If you had a 500w with 32 amps and it did'nt run then problem lays in the PSU, not the card. *unless the card was broken, or something*

I don't believe that for one second. I have an X1950XT on a 430W power supply and it runs like a beauty, not to mention a slight overclock.;) the 7600's draw no where near the amount of power as an ATi 19XX card.

There must be something wrong with system then if you can't get it working with a 400W power supply then something faulty. Have you even seen the card? Its not a power guzzler, you don't need an external power source, although some people have said some rare AGP models need them but I have yet to see one. 300W is MORE than enough for a 7600GT.
