I must have missed what I was doing but I attempted to upgrade my bios, graphics and chipsets but I ended up losing spead. My intel 2.4 is now running at 1.9 and is overall pigging out.

I have a HP Pavillion 1101 where I upgraded the Celeron to the 2.4 Intel and a Nvidia 6200. It was twice as fast last week.

I will upgrade the entire system next week but want to know what I did.

Will moving the chip into anothe ocmputer bring the same issue.....

I'm not quite sure what you mean/how you did this...it sounds like that if the processor is indeed running slower than it was, it's being underclocked by the BIOS. I'm not sure why flashing the BIOS would do this, and I'm fairly sure thats not the case.

If you're upgrading the whole computer soon, quite honestly why hassle yourself over it?

It *could* be that the GFX card is creating too much heat and thence causing thermal throttling, it's pulling at straws but it's possible.
