My chipset fan is really starting to bug me and I want a new one. I have the nForce 4 Ultra chipset just so you know. Any suggestions?

perhaps you could get the same one if that one is faulty it doesn't mean that they all are.

anyways i like loud fans, they give my computer more charater.

Usually a loud fan is a dry fan. Use a good grade of light oil and put ONE drop on the spindle. Turn it on and see if the noise diminishes. If not you need a new fan.

I used to have the same motherboard, and yes it is load. You could try using a different fan from newegg with lower rpms, or try using just a heatsink with possibly a heatpipe.

What are the temps?

SpeedFan generates errors on my system and I know that's what you use to monitor temps. What else can monitor them for me?
