CHK DSK Problem

So I started a CHK DSK scan, restarted my computer, and started it. It was taking a while, like a couple hours, so I let it be. I just got home, and it was at my profile login page, and it said something about failing, so I tried to log on, and it kept saying something about it failing, so I restarted. It went to restart, and it blue screens around the time the Vista loading screen starts.. I reset my BIOS and Fail-Safe settings, and no luck..

Any ideas?

Thanks.

What problem were you having that caused you to do a chk dsk?
Was the drive acting up, try running a drive diagnostic program.

The repairing with the OS DVD helped, it got me past the Vista loading screen, but now my computer just sits at a black lit screen with my cursor, I tried Safe Mode and got the same result..

If that guide you used didn't help, which seems to pretty accurately describe your situation, your only option might be a clean install from this point.

Well, it's worth a try. After that ( if it doesnt work) , just reformat completely dude.
