Choosing a Mobo

I am building my first computer and can't bring myself to choose what kind of mobo to get. I plan on having an AMD Athlon 64x2 am2 slot probably 2.6 or 2.8 GHz processor, sticks of 1gb Kingston Hyperx (800MHz) on it, have a nice pci express 512 mb video card, 3 or 4 hard drives on sata 3gb/s connections, and a decent sound card. I was looking at asus boards for just over 100 on newegg (ie http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131013) and not sure if you guys with more experience would think that would be a good choice. Any input or advice would help.
