So i'm going to be building my first comp this Christmas time. I'm not well versed in computers, so I need some help. This is what i have so far:

CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115017

Mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128062&Tpk=P31-DS3L

PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341010

Ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231114

Video card: I want the 8800 GT, but there are so many choices, i assume some don't work with what i have. Can someone link me a 8800Gt that will work with this build.

This comp is going to be used 100% for games. Any comments, revisions, or even a whole new build are welcomed. And please try not to stray from the prices of the linked items, my budget is limited.

haha its going to be a stretch
lemme work on it

look (generally)
quadcore - 275
8800gt - 300
therefore you have 225 to spend on a psu, mobo, ram, media, shipping

I usually working the other way round:D
case: $50
PSU: $75
burner:$30
RAM: $50
HDD: $70
MB: $100

So, approx $500 for CPU + GPU
= Q6600 + 8800GT 256MB/HD3870 or E6750 + 8800GT 512MB

He dosen't need cd drives!;)

Internal parts might include a optical drive... Thought of that? Part of it is internal, part is external. And why not just buy it like it is? It's within your budget range, and you won't get any better parts by dropping a $28 item...

Sorry but:

RAM - Yours is along the lines of Value RAM... and your has CL5... and only 2GB... (3)

PSU - I doubt that could hold a big load...

MOBO - Ha... a VIA/SiS chipset? Horrible for overclocking ;)

256 and 512MB should not have a difference. I've heards there's only a tiny difference anyways. Buyers choice.

Q6600 vs E6750
2GB Value Ram VS 4GB Performance RAM
256MB vs 512MB with only a few FPS difference
500W vs 700W (with alot more amps)
P35-DS3L vs IP35
