A very good day to all fellow computer forum users.

After several months of hard work identifying the system parts which best suited my needs in each of the different computer forum sections for the new gaming rig, I have managed to come out with a final, decisive compilation of the setup, of which I am getting before Christmas.

I would really love to value every possible comments/crtiques/applause/suggestions,
if applicable.

Here it goes:

cpu: intel core 2 duo E6750 (using stock hsf and not overclocking)

motherboard: gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 (rev. 2.0)

ram: crucial ballistix tracer ddr2 pc8500 (1066mhz) 2GB dual channel kit (1GB X 2)

graphic card: gigabyte Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS G92 512MB (using stock hsf and not overclocking)

hard disk: samsung 320GB Sata 2 16MB

optical drive: samsung 20x Sata dvd writer

power supply: antec truepower trio 550W

casing: antec 900

operating system: windows vista home premium 32bit

case fan 1: zalman ZM-F3BL 120mmx25mm blue LED (on side panel)
case fan 2: delta focusflow 2.25Amperage 120mmx38mm noisy fan (on middle drive cage)

fan controller: 5.25" coolermaster areagate 1 (4 LED channels) - for controlling the 4 of antec default case fans

Just a side note: I already have a 22" widescreen LCD monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse.
Please give me you unbiased, honest opnions of the above gaming rig and let me know of any such improvements that can be done.
Games that I intend to play are crysis, world in conflict and assassin's creed.

A very thank you in advance!

hmm i would get the q6600 instead of that processor, if im not mistaken, samsungs are not as good as seagates, you could bump the ram down to ddr2 800 and simply overclock it, and do not get 32 bit vista, get 64 bit because soon enough certain programs will require more then the maximum 3GB of ram supported by 32.

also, i would personally bump the GTS to the new GT, great cards at great prices.

Thanks for the quick reply.
As I am a novice at overclocking hardware devices, my picking for the 1066 ram is a solution for the reason as from reviews it seem to be great at stock.

I am concern if the pair of 1066 crucial rams are compatible with the gigabyte DS3 board as somehow it is not listed under memory support list as seen at http://www.giga-byte.com/FileList/MemorySupport/motherboard_memory_ga-p35-ds3_2.0.pdf

Does it neccessarily means that rams not found in that listings are considered as not compatible? I hope not.

My previous seagate hard drive gave screeching sound when usage which drives me in trying other brands. How about either western digital or maxtor?

As for 64bit os, I have been told to stay away from it as its meant for advance users while containing serveral flaws of which I am unsure of.

Last but not least, as for the graphic card. I believe the new 8800GTS G92 has better stock cooling as compared to the 8800GT G92 as the latter only contains a single slot cooler. Along side with more stream processors which attracts me it.

Any further advice for me?

well you seem to have a somewhat rare occurence with the hard drive, go ahead and go with whatever brand seems best to you, hard drives in general from known brands are almost always ok.

64 bit OS's are not flawed and there is no difference whatsoever from a 32 bit except the hardware capabilities, in truth 32 bit is far more flawed then 64 and im quickly learning that with my copy of vista home premium 32 bit.

i still think ddr2 800 is a better choice, and with a good 10min thread, you would easily be able to overclock it to suit your needs.

What would be the ddr2 800 ram that you recommend to be overclocked?
At the same time could you link up to the 10min ram overclocking website?

hmm first off the ten minute overclocking threads can be found here: CLICK

and the ram can be something very nice but cheap like Patriot 2GB

other brands like A-Data, OCZ, Corsair, G-Skill, all work great

Well, the first link is sort of lame though no offense.
Anyway is the patriot link similar to the signature series?
