Christmas sales? Please help

So like, i'm kind of going nuts here. I'm afraid to buy parts for my build now because it might go down the day after Christmas, and if it does I will have wasted money. Does anyone know when Christmas sales start/end, or if they will have one? I need to know when the right time to buy is. Thanks much.

Bump: I have to order pretty soon, could someone please advise? I gotta know when the right time is. Please help?

After Christmas sales? New year sales? I don't know.
What about making a link list of what/where/cost of what you want?
Perhaps get some suggestions for the specific part(s),
and watch diff. places for a price drop/sale?

Newegg mostly. I thought it was a specific day that most retailers do them, and I want to make sure i'm getting in on the right day or not waiting too long. The items i'm keeping an eye on, and hoping to get at sale prices are:
-Corsair ax1200
-Phenom II 1090t
-Hitachi Deskstar 7k3000 3tb 7200rpm hard drive
-XFX 5870 2gb
-Asus Xonar Essence ST

There's other stuff to get, but I want to take advantage of the sale prices for the more expensive items here. When would be the right time to buy them? Also, thanks very much for replying.

This ones over $50. less than your listed. And altho I don't know much about vc's, I wouldn't be skeered to say that Sapphire is probly better than xfx? And you still have the $10. promo on the cpu as well. You could call or live chat Newegg and tell them you are going to make substancial purchases and would they allow the $10 gift on your next purchase once the cpu payment clears/or the item is shipped(only shipped),,,that way you wouldn't have to wait for it to get to you in case you make another purchaes right away.

If it were me i'd probly go ahead and grab this one while the savings is there.
Are you sure you need 1200w?

EDIT: why not a 6xxx card, Eyefinity 6?

It is best to just buy and never look at the price again because its only going to go down.

^he's right.prices fall constantly, especially technology.todays advances in technology is yesterdays news.which in return means that today it cost $500, tomorrow its $300.

I was hoping to get a much cheaper previous gen card now that the 6xxx gen cards are out, but i've been waiting all month for this sale to happen. If it helps any, I have $355 for now to get whichever components I can afford(which is why i've got to know when the sale is) and 200-350 after bills to spend next month on my next part. What i'd really like to know is if prices will go up after the 24th, or if the real sale begins on the 26th?

Don't think there's going to be certain day from here on out,,,just certain sales/promos

I would think that after Christmas,,,when ppl are done shopping,,,,that you may find some sales on overstocked items and such,,,then the new year brings new years sales/adds, for whatever that's worth.

Have you checked any Retail stores? I know you don't need RAM but an example is this week Fry's has 3x2gb Corsair 1600 for $59. So may be worth checking those from time to time.

Perhaps if you wait on the gpu till last you might see a drop or find a better deal by then,,it certainly won't go up. Buy what you can of the other stuff, and stack some $ up for the cpu/gpu?
