Chrome is taking awful long time to refresh screen

Starting a few hours ago, I noticed that when I clicked on a certain links in Chrome, the screen went blank and the refresh arrow kept circling, for a long time, before it would display the page.

I copied and pasted the same link and tested it in Firefox and it came up in reasonable time.

What is causing Chrome to misbehave (some flash crashed?) and how to fix it? Unintall and reinstall?
 
Flash player is built into chrome so you would have to uninstall chrome and reinstall it.
 
I unintalled and reinstalled. The same problem persisted. But it is only this one site vbforum.com, which works fine with FF.

So I just transfer the speeddial to FF and browse this site from FF.

Weired.

He probably meant vbforums.com

Does this happen on all sites or are you just seeing it from select ones? Does it just happen the first time you try to visit or in subsequent browsing on the site (implying DNS)?
