Circuit City

I already did a while ago! :D

I was able to get the Hitman Trilogy for cheap at CC!

Personally I've been wondering when something like that would happen. It wasn't that long ago when a press release stated that Wal-mart's aggressive LCD TV pricing was hammering the electronics chains. Before they were making large markups and LCD sales were a large part of their bottom line. Wal-mart took care of that.

CC has great prices!! Best prices on dvd and cd media. I buy alot of dvd-r and cd-r blanks from them. Everything else I get from tigerdirect or newegg.

Good, those retards tried to charge me a 15% restocking fee on a defective monitor and I had to bitch for a good half hour to get it removed.

lmao i go to office max to get my dl dvds and ne other media cuz they always have deals, the last time i was at circuit city was i went with my friend to take his laptop in and they tried tellin him it was gunna 150 to replace 512 ddr2 533 ram in his laptop i laughed told my friend id do for the price of the part which i think was like 25 -30 back then..

There is one thing you guys looking for Extreme sales seem to be missing................CC is being bought out, not closed down. While you might see a few stores close I doubt the entire company is going to go the route of Compusa, there is FFFAAARRR to much capital in the bank for them, yes there is a good amount of bad debit out there as well, like the 60 City Stores they just opened, but not enough to drive them under.....yes thats right they have a nice chunk of change in there and that is part of the reason why this took so long because cc did not want to open up the books to BB, the share holders feared that they would use the savings. Now that there is a few...........well one HUGE private backer for the purchase CC will open the books and not have to worry to much about touching that money.

While I dont like big box retailers anymore than the next person I have to say the CC over here is MUCH better than the Best Buy. Neither are very impressive by any means but Best Buy packs its store with a bunch of retarded monkeys that swear they have a clue................at least CC employees are only partially retarded.

This is kinda old news. Blockbuster, through Carl Icahn's group, have been pursuing CC for awhile. He's the same guy attempting to restructure Yahoo's Board so that Microsoft can complete their acquisition of Yahoo. He's a big player.

Compusa is reopening some stores now. I went into a store in El Paso looking for some closeout deals and found out that they are actually having a grand reopening. Looked on Comps web site and it's true.

i think the internet killed CC, not walmart. anybody who wants to be ripped off for electronics goes to best buy now anyway. poor circuit city, at least there will be some great sales

i've always thought CC was the best local store to get electronics. a lot of the time things i've bought on CC were actually cheaper than newegg.

one of the biggest things about CC is checking online prices before you go into the store. most of the time the store prices are marked up (or regular) and not to whatever the internet pricing is when there are online sales. but even in the store, they will only charge you the internet price, every time.

they only charge you the internet price bc CC uses intranet systems (like bestbuy got in trouble for).
