CISPA? I'll pretty much assume everyone here is against the bill...

Here's a good article:
http://news.yahoo.com/3-reasons-cispa-adapt-die-senate-opinion-142303060.html

I can't seem to find when the U.S. Senate is supposed to vote on it, but if they had already I'm sure I would have found something that said they did.

Does anyone know when the Senate votes on CISPA?

What was that one bill that was going to affect Europe? I thought SOPA and PIPA were also both USA, but I can't friggin remember. I wouldn't be surprised if no one comments on this thread, but oh well, I'm just interested if anyone is following this or can at least say they're majorly against big brother and the military watching what we do and taking more action.

I sincerely hope that if this stupid bill passes that they can't penetrate proxies. That would seriously be ****ed up.

I wouldn't worry too much about it right now. It didn't pass the House by a large margin and it has to go through a Senate committee, and if it passes the committee (which it may not), it will go on to the floor of the Senate (and it may not pass there). If it passes the Senate, with all the changes the Senate makes, it has to go back to the House for them to either approve or disapprove of the changes the Senate made. If they agree, they'll send it to the President. If they don't, they'll have to have a conference committee to hash out the differences. I understand that the Senate has their own bill that they'd rather pass. They might try to pass that one instead and pass that bill to the House, where it goes through the same process (committee, floor, etc.).

It's too early to tell what will happen. If you have any questions, get a hold of your elected officials' office and they can tell you.
