I have $500 now so I will buy the CPU, motherboard, and ram or powersupply. Then get the video card and case when I get the cash within the next month

One more question. Can the 7800 GT be hacked/overclocked to unlock the 4 pipes, so in essense, turn it into the GTX.

I saw you post the make and model before: my point still stands -- make sure the HSF fits.

I'm running a 3000+ also. When i went to my friends shop on a day off and did some ocing for fun. We used the silent tower It kept the poor 3000+ running at 2.9 ghz at 26c. As soon as i get the money i will begitting my own silent tower but they work great.
