Sorry if I am late seeing this...I was just curious as to why you upgraded Windows using a beta O/S. I would only do this for a final version of an O/S.
I am trying out Windows 10 beta using Vmware Player (free version). That way I don't disturb the host operating system. My host O/S is Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
There will be a new build of Windows 10 Technical Preview every month or two so to keep up with the changes I am going to install a new build every few months. I started with the original build. I just replaced it with the latest build:
Windows 10 Technical Preview
Build: 9926
Version: 10.0.9926
Release date: January 23, 2015
Note you can install Windows 10 Technical Preview with Vmware Player without even making a DVD. You can install it directly from the ISO file you downloaded.
But i did not disturbed my Win 7 OPS, since i installed win 7 in another HDD i had in my scrap ,and upgraded to Win 10 Preview,if i go back to Win 7 just rein-tall the original HDD with Win 7, which i can run on HP DV-6 or Hp DV-5.
