Clean install, which is the best OS?

Hi everyone,

I want to do a clean Windows OS install on my pc. These are the specifications:

AMD Athlon X2 250 @3.16GHz
Nvidia Geforce GTS450 1GB RAM
4GB RAM
160GB HDD

I'm using it most often for gaming (games like Assassins Creed, Grand Theft Auto, Battlefield).
So which is the best Windows (7) version for my (gaming)pc?
(sorry for bad english!)

The performance comes from the hardware you have, not the actual operating system. Is this a store bought pc or a custom built?

What motherboard are you using?

If the motherboard is capable of supporting more then 4gb of ram then get the 64bit version. If you plan on upgrading to a new motherboard at a later date you would need the retail version of windows 7 so you can transfer the license to the new one. OEM can't be transferred.

Not planning to update the motherboard or RAM memory

I would get the Home Premium 64bit.

Because it's more expensive and comes with a lot of features that you usually won't use.
