Clean XP installation, an "invisible" partition

Hi.
During the XP installation into the new computer, I created 2 partitions. Then installed XP to one of them. Didn't do anythig with the other partition. When XP was installed, I could find only one partition (OS on it), the other one is not there. Is there a way to format and make the "lost" partition visible without re-installing everything?

you need to format the partition for windows to recognise it. It can be done from windows, read
