Cleaning fan on Packard Bell TJ75

Hey!

I've recently been experienzing problems with my computer overheating, sometimes reaching 90 degrees when playing games. This has not been a problem earlier. I'm guessing this is because the fans have been blocked by dust, as I bring my computer with me everywhere and have it on my lap/in bed. I've bought canned compressed air to clean with, but I'm not sure if it's enough to just blow the air through the vents? I'm not sure how to open up the computer in order to get to the fan (if it's needed), and could therefore need some advice as to how to proceed to get to the fan. I'm also considering buying a cooling pad for my laptop, would this help a lot?

Thanks!

Www.insidemylaptop.com is a good place to get started. Taking apart a laptop is tough, with all the tiny parts. If it looks easy enough, go for it.

Is there anyway to access the fan? If so you can also oil it to make it run smoother.

I checked the site, but couldn't find a guide to my computer. I have however managed to get my hands on the instruction manual, and tbh it looks quite complicated. No, there is no way to reach the fan without opening it. My only hope without having to open it is to use compressed air through the air vents. Do you think this would help?

Yeah, worth a shot.

But getting to 90c is pretty normal playing games on a laptop. You're not gonna get much cooler.

Yeah, compressed air will help. Be sure to get a thin object to stop the fan from spinning. You don't want the air to spin the fan faster than its specifications or it could do some damage.

But a cooler does help, in my experience.

Ok, I'll try blowing throgh the air vents with compressed air then. I cannot reach the fan though, but I'm guessing it won't "overspin" if I just use short bursts of air?
