Cleaning Graphic cards fan

Hey all,

How would you recomend me to clean out the fan on my Graphics card because its getting a little dusty?

And what with?

Those Q tips are too fat to get inbetween the fans plastic so there useless here.

Hmmm,Yeah but for some reason its hard to get in stores over here in the uk.

If that's anything like my 8500, just unscrew it from the heatsync.

Take the heatsink off and clean it with water, then just make sure it completely dries before putting it back on.

edit: o ops, didnt see the uk post. yea i guess u can try to take it apart, if it dosnt have screws and are those plastic pin types. then becareful. lol

Also i think il need to take it out so i can clean it properly.

Ive looked everywhere i can think of for a can of air but they dont sell it

I dont wonna be removing Heatsinks & stuff because i simply wouldnt know how to fix any problems if they arrouse after i put them back on

So il take the card out and try and clean the cards fan the best i can without removing it.

The only things ive done inside my computer is simple things like Upgrading the ram and cleaning my comp out

after you remove the heatsink, find an air compressor to blow it out with.

I just take a shopvac and suck the dust out with it. Usually I leave the heatsink on but if it's right clogged then I'll remove it all and clean it up.
