I use basic glass cleaner and ether spray light amounts on the screen or wet a paper towel with it. I'm sure people will tell me that's HORRIBLY wrong, but I've done this for many years on many laptops and LCDs without a problem
If you want a better solution, you could always go to a glasses store and find some cleaner that's made for glasses with special coatings and such on them.
PC shops should do specialist wipes. In theory, anything that's alcohol based (I think it's ethanol that's usually used) should be fine.
In fact I think we have all been found guilty of using unsuitable products in the past. I have been known to use a cloth that's been made damp with water, wiped it down, then dried it with a bit of paper towel.
