Cleaning solutions for LCD monitors

The personal preference is never anything by Rosewill here while there are several items and even some different methods for cleaning displays. A soft cloth or non linting, non abrasive wipe and mild solution can save on cost! over just spending on anything that comes along.

A soft cloth for the screen area and antistatic wipe you generally toss into a clothes dryer to soak up any static when pulling clothes out works for wiping dust off of the casing as well as seeing it somewhat dust resistant where less dust will cling.

Those both seem awfully expensive, head to your local office supply store and pick up a kit for under $15. As long as it says its safe for LCD displays your safe and you will get a microfiber cloth, solution, and usually a handy applicator as well.

I can readily agree with that after taking one look at the prices seen on both items. Some will simply use a mild cleaning solution and a soft cloth to save quit a bit while stores like Office Max, Staples, and others like Target, Walmart, Best Buy are also likely to have cleaning accessories especially with tv sets as well now being lcd.

You may even find a kit for $5-$7 or less at a store like Walmart or a discount outlet just happening to have pc accessories. Then compare that to $30 seen for a Rosewill kit.

That was good! :P But you would surprized at the low cost everyday items you could use rather then spending "an arm and a leg" like $30- ! for someone else to make a real fast buck there. GGGrrrr...

Whatever you use just make it isn't soaking wet! Sometimes those wipes whether that brand or another come out drenched while others are a little on the dry side. Also make sure any are not fragranced... whoosh! :P

Believe me bud... With 3 kids running round our house , all in need of nappies and baby wipes, these ARE the perfect solution for me:D ESPECIALLY if I leave the lid open to dry them out a bit first....OHHHHH the missus HATES me for that lol, but I have to look after my little AMD baby ;)

AAwwww... and hows the little one doing these days?! :P

Here I look after someone with a medical condition where another brand is actually what works. I know easily what the ut oh days are and will occasionally notice a spot or two suddenly seen on the lcd? "how did that get there?" Friend's rumbuncious kids running around getting into ... you know the rest of the story! :P

Seriously guys 'n' Gals....considering you can get those baby wipes for around £4.80 for 256 wipes, they really ARE a very viable option for me over those in store PC cleaning products;)

Besides baby wipes office supply stores also carry probably a more suitable type of moist wipe for cleaning. Those come in low cost canisters and are readily available.

The one big difference however is seeing 100 antistatic wipes for about $9 US that are moist like baby wipes. The antistatic properties help prevent the static cling commonly seen with all types of consumer electronics as well as pc hardwares and of course lcd monitors.
